About Whiskey Six
Why The Name?
Long before I started a 24 year civilian police career, I served for ten years in the US Army Infantry and Military Police Corps. As a young soldier, I was briefly assigned as a field radio operator for an infantry commander. I had to learn the procedure to talk on the radio and call for mortars and artillery. The military phonetic for the letter W is "Whiskey". The number Six denotes the commander of the unit talking on the radio. So, with a little play on words, Weapons Boss becomes "Whiskey Six", which we think is pretty catchy! It's also a hat tip to my late father Virgil, a WWII Navy veteran who carried the nickname "Whiskey".
Instructor Profile: Luke Blaser
I was raised in the Midwest and have been shooting since I was ten years old. I joined the Army and left for Infantry Basic Training the day after I graduated from high school. I spent seven years on active duty, six of which as a Military Policeman. I left the Army in 1993 and began my civilian police career with the City of East Moline, Illinois. In 2017 I retired after nearly 30 years in law enforcement. I'm a graduate of the US Army's Infantry and Military Police Schools, the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, Illinois State Police Academy, IPTM Traffic Institute and Black Hawk College. I am a Police Master Firearms Instructor, an NRA Police Handgun-Shotgun Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, and a Florida Class K Firearms Instructor. I'm an avid practitioner of Jukido Jujitsu and I train and manage a local church safety ministry. Additionally, I provide consulting and guidance to faith-based organizations. I'm the owner and operator of Whiskey Six Tactical Firearms Academy, located in Palm Coast Florida, where I currently live with my beautiful wife and three crazy dogs.
What We Do:
Whiskey Six offers courses to meet the needs of every student. From beginners to advanced shooters, our courses cover everything from basic firearms safety to advanced marksmanship and personal protection. Instruction can be tailored for groups or individual private lessons. Class-bundles and couples-discounts are also available. We offer professional training and recertification to Florida Class "G" License holders. We offer training and consultation for faith-based organizations seeking to establish protection teams, and guidance toward developing emergency action plans.

Concealed Carry Course -CWFL: 4-Hrs / $95

Basic Pistol Course (with CWFL): 8-Hrs / $200
Florida is now a permit-less carry state, however carrying a firearm in public comes with a great deal of attached responsibility. Not knowing the law can put good folks in legal jeopardy. Florida's Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (CWFL) is accepted by 36 other states. This class is designed for those looking to meet the State of Florida requirements to obtain a concealed carry license. Topics will include Safety, Legal Aspects, Mindset, Carry Options, Deployment and Live Fire.

Our Basic Pistol Course is designed to teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a pistol in a safe and confident manner. The course is a combination of classroom and range instruction. Topics include Safety, Mechanical Operation, Range Familiarization, Stance & Grip, Marksmanship Fundamentals, Loading and Unloading and Live Fire. This is a good introductory class for anyone looking to learn the basics, or refresh faded skills. This course will also satisfy the State of Florida requirements for CWFL.

This situational shooting course is perfect for those who want to learn how to use firearms to defend against real world threats. Students will learn situational awareness techniques, and how to properly react in high-pressure situations. They will be taught the skills necessary to make split-second lethal force decisions, and be taught the principals and mechanics of armed combat. This is an advanced course offered to students who have successfully completed the Basic Pistol Course, or a similar level of training.

Whiskey Six has the knowledge and experience to teach faith-based organizations the steps to establish, operate and manage an effective volunteer church security team. We offer physical security assessments, leadership consultations, and relevant courses on verbal skills, marksmanship and unit operations.
What Do I Need To Bring With Me?
Driver's License / Government Issued ID
You will need to bring some identification. All students will be required to fill out a registration form and sign a liability waiver. Identification for these forms must be verified before training.
The Basics:
Weapon, magazines /speed loaders, ammunition, appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes (no open toes), hat and water.
