Florida is not a Constitutional Carry State, and there are a number of very good reasons why you should still consider obtaining a Concealed Weapon or Firearm License. Despite the recent changes in Florida's Permit-less and Open Carry laws, The Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (CWFL) remains a valuable legal asset. Obtaining quality training and learning the law will no doubt be of great benefit in any use-of-force encounter, both during and after the event. It also waives the 3 day wait period for purchases. Many states do not have permit-less carry, but Florida's CWFL is accepted by 37 other states, so you can travel with confidence. Topics will include Safety, Licensure Requirements Legal Aspects, Mindset, Deployment and Live Fire.

On September 25, 2025 the open carrying of firearms became legal in the State of Florida.  This new change in the law should not be confused with Constitutional Carry.  There are still laws and limitations in place, and not knowing and obeying them can put good people in legal jeopardy. This class is intended to teach people how to navigate the law regarding the carrying of firearms in public, both open and concealed. Topics will include Safety, Legal Aspects, Mindset, Safe Carry Options and Deployment. 

Our Basic Pistol Course is designed to teach the fundamental knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a pistol in a safe and confident manner. The course is a combination of classroom and range instruction. Topics include Safety, Mechanical Operation, Gun Handling,  Ammunition Use, Stance & Grip, Marksmanship Fundamentals, Loading and Unloading and Live Fire.  This is a good introductory class for anyone looking to learn the basics, or refresh faded skills. 

Our Intermediate Pistol Course is designed to build on the foundation of the Basic Course. Students will incorporate new skills and be introduced to the principals of armed combat. Topics include: Drawing from concealed, Movement, Cover and Concealment, Speed and Tactical Reloading, Transitions, Off-Hand Shooting, Correcting Malfunctions, Challenge Commands, Scanning and more!  Enrollment in this course requires successful completion of the basic course, or a similar level of prior training.

This situational shooting course is perfect for those who want to learn how to use firearms to defend against real world threats. Students will be taught the skills necessary to make split-second lethal force decisions, and be taught the principals and mechanics of armed combat. This is an advanced course offered to students who have successfully completed the Intermediate Pistol Course, or a similar level of training.

 This introductory class is designed to teach the basics of running the AR-15 rifle. Students will learn Operation & Function, Loading & Unloading, clearing Malfunctions, Ammunition Type & Use, Zeroing the Sights / Optic, Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Breakdown, Cleaning & Maintenance. A $20 range fee is included in the cost of the class. Students will need approximately 100 rounds of ammunition (not included) 

Whiskey Six offers private coaching sessions for individuals and couples. This personal training experience is tailored to the skill level of the student, and is an ideal option for those who have experience, but feel they need a refresher.

Whiskey Six is a Florida Class K training provider. We offer initial training and certification to Florida Class G security license applicants, and annual training and re-qualification to current G License holders. Please see the Registration page for class schedule and pricing.
